|CSSF Qualification Issues:||
1. 2013 is the inaugural year for this affiliate. In previous years Solano County students were able to qualify to CSSF through either the San Francisco Bay Area Science Fair or the Sacramento Regional Science & Engineering Fair, depending upon where in Solano County the student lived. Such qualification of Solano County students through other regional science fairs will not be permitted in future years. However, ...
2. To minimize disruption to the operations of these other fairs in 2013, and to allow for the possibility that all Solano County students may not learn of their new county science fair this year, qualification to CSSF will be allowed for Solano County students who participate in the San Francisco Bay Area Science Fair or in the Sacramento Regional Science & Engineering Fair for this one final year. This is a one year transitional exception and will not be repeated.
1. Since this fair does not accept team projects among its participants, such projects have no qualification route to CSSF. We therefore advise students and teachers in schools in the areas enumerated in the “Authorization” section above not to initiate science projects based upon teams if attendance at CSSF is a potential goal.
2. Since this fair does not accept students in grade 6, such students attending schools within the areas enumerated in the “Authorization” section above have no qualification mechanism to CSSF.
