The Language Center is an on-campus resource for both students and faculty to enhance and encourage the foreign language learning process. Our goal is to create an environment through the use of technology and face to face communication that helps students achieve their language learning goals.
For students, we offer an array of media (print, television, and film) in a variety of languages, so that students are able to experience the language in an everyday setting. For those who wish to hold group study sessions, we offer conversation rooms, each equipped with a computer workstation, whiteboard, television, and DVD/VHS player. These rooms may be checked out by Priority One students only.
Instructors of the modern foreign languages are also granted Priority One status. Instructors are able to reserve conversation rooms and media using our online reservation system. In addition, instructors may also request to have recordings made from our selection of international satellite channels. For details, please see the "Services For Instructors" link below.
