Todd R. Dickey Senior Vice President, Administration

As senior vice president for administration, Todd R. Dickey is responsible for providing leadership for the university's administrative departments, including general counsel; compliance; internal audit; administrative operations; contracts and grants; trademarks and licensing services; real estate and asset management; capital construction; facilities planning and management; career and protective services (department of public safety, risk management, environmental health and safety, fire safety and emergency planning, and recruitment and professional development); and auxiliary services (the bookstore, housing, transportation, hospitality services and the hotel).

Dickey joined USC in the general counsel's office in 1996, was made interim general counsel in 1998, and was named general counsel in 1999 and senior vice president for administration in April 2005. From 1994 to 1996, he was an associate at the law firm of Latham & Watkins. In 1993-1994, he was judicial clerk to the Honorable Ronald S. W. Lew, U.S. District Court judge for the Central District of California in Los Angeles.

Dickey is a member of the California State Bar, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the National Association of College and University Attorneys, the National Association of College and University Business Officers and the Council on Governmental Relations. He is certified to appear before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court, Central and Northern districts of California. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Corporate Law Department of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Dickey earned his B.A. degree in political science from UC Irvine in 1987 and his J.D. degree from the USC Gould School of Law in 1993, where he graduated Order of the Coif and was a member of the law review.
