Jerome A. Lucido Jerome A. Lucido
Vice Provost for Enrollment Policy and Management

Jerome A. “Jerry” Lucido was appointed vice provost for enrollment policy and management in fall 2006. Reporting directly to the provost, he oversees the university's enrollment management operations, including undergraduate and graduate admission, financial aid, academic records and registration, and enrollment policy. He is also executive director of USC’s Center for Enrollment Research, Policy, and Practice.

At the national level, Lucido is a trustee of the College Board (which, in association with more than 5,000 educational institutions and organizations, administers the SAT, PSAT and Advanced Placement Program). He chairs the College Board’s Guidance and Admissions Assembly Council and previously served as chair and as a presenter for the board’s New Admissions Practices Project. In addition, he was a member of the steering committee that reformulated the Statement of Principles of Good Practice on behalf of the National Association for College Admission Counseling.

Lucido came to USC from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was in charge of enrollment planning and management. He spearheaded UNC’s widely hailed decision to drop its early-admissions decision program in 2002, and was instrumental in establishing a groundbreaking student aid program that ensured academic quality while providing educational access to students from a variety of ethnic and educational backgrounds.

Prior to his work at UNC, Lucido served as assistant vice president for enrollment services and academic support at the University of Arizona and as associate director of admissions at Kent State University.

Lucido holds a Ph.D. in higher education from the University of Arizona, a M.Ed. from Kent State and a B.S. in business administration from Miami University of Ohio.
