Vice President, Finance

Margo Steurbaut was named vice president for finance effective December 2008, having served in that capacity on an interim basis since July 1.

As the university’s director of budget and planning, Steurbaut leads a team of professionals responsible for USC’s annual operating budget of nearly $2 billion. She also provides quarterly updates on budget progress to the finance committee of the USC Board of Trustees.

Steurbaut joined USC in 1993 as director of finance and accounting for the auxiliary services division and became senior associate dean for business and financial affairs at USC College in 2000. She subsequently was appointed to the position of associate university budget director and associate vice president in 2005, and named associate senior vice president in December 2006.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University, an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant.
