Curtis D. “Curt” Williams was appointed vice president in May 2003, overseeing the university's capital construction program, including new construction as well as building renovations, on USC's University Park and Health Sciences campuses. In addition, Williams oversees Facilities Management Services, the department responsible for maintaining the university's buildings, grounds and utility systems. He also is responsible for the development of a long-range capital development plan for USC, including a master plan for the University Park campus.

Before joining USC, Williams worked for the J. Paul Getty Trust from 1991 to 2003. There, he oversaw the construction and operation of the $1.2 billion Getty Center and also managed the $250 million renovation and expansion of the Getty Villa, the original Getty Museum, in Pacific Palisades.

Williams served as Stanford University’s director of facilities project management from 1982 to 1991, successfully completing $1 billion in projects, including state-of-the-art biomedical, engineering and sports facilities as well as student housing.

Williams earned his B.S. in civil engineering from Colorado State University in 1966 and his M.S. in civil and structural engineering in 1968. He served as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972.
