Tammara Seabrook Anderson
Tammara Anderson serves as the Executive Director of USC's Joint Educational Project (JEP), which matches USC students from more than 65 different academic courses with neighborhood projects.
JEP allows students to combine academic coursework with experiences at schools and service agencies in the community surrounding the campus in an attempt to help students understand the practical implications of what they are learning in class. Each year, some 1,200 students receive academic credit for their participation in JEP. In addition, about 400 students serve as non-credit volunteers to share their time and talents in a partnership with their neighbors. Founded in 1972, JEP is one of the oldest service-learning programs in the country.
Anderson oversees JEP's day-to-day operations, develops programs, implements strategic plans, and fosters relationships with community partners, foundations and donors. Anderson earned a B.A. in gerontology from USC in 1980 and a master's degree in education in 1990.
