RESEARCH COMMITTEE
The Academic Senate/University Research Committee reviews all proposed policies of the university related to research activities. The committee oversees the awarding of Zumberge funds for interdisciplinary research, and reviews the awarding of Zumberge funds for faculty research (ZRIF) periodically. The committee oversees the organized research unit structure at the university and monitors the status of all ORUs. The committee reviews materials used to describe university-wide research. The committee responds to requests from other related committees (e.g. information services and patent committees) to review issues being studied by those committees. The committee advises the Vice Provost for Research on aspects of research at the university.
