STUDENT BEHAVIOR APPEALS PANEL

The Student Conduct Code provides that each student who is charged with a violation of university regulations has the right to a fair and impartial hearing to determine the validity of those charges. The Student Behavior Appeals Panel (SBAP) guarantees that this right is protected. The panel functions as the highest tribunal on student behavioral matters. It has jurisdiction over appeals from all student academic dishonesty and misconduct reviews where sanctions of suspension or expulsion are ordered. The decisions of the Student Behavior Appeals Panel are final, but are subject to review by the president and the vice president for student affairs.

The Student Behavior Appeals Panel reports to the office of the president through the provost and the vice president for student affairs and works closely with the staff of the office for student conduct.
