Welcome to the University of Southern California (USC)'s Office of Technology Licensing (OTL). We assist in technology licensing and commercialization for the University, including licensing USC technologies to startup companies. USC is one of the world's leading private research universities. Last year USC received approximately $400 million in sponsored research and approximately $20 million of that was from corporate research funding. USC, a member of the Associated of American Universities (AAU), ranks #17 in receiving federal research funding. There are over 2,500 faculty members contributing to the quality and originality of USC research and teaching.
