FAQs on the Assurance Process
The University of Southern California maintains assurances of compliance, called Federalwide Assurances (FWAs), with the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) in the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The University is required to enter into this agreement because it receives federal funding for research involving human subjects.
