Jean Morrison is the vice provost for graduate programs. In this role, Morrison has primary responsibility for oversight of the university s graduate affairs and of the USC Graduate School. In addition, she represents the provost in the academic review process. She also oversees our highly successful Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) program, which has been under her direction since 2002. Morrison served as a panelist for the National Science Foundation's Tectonics Program and Graduate Research Fellowship Program. In 2000, she was named the Sigma Chi Professor of the Year and received Sigma Gamma Epsilon's Excellence in Teaching Award. In 2002, she received the prestigious USC Associates Award for Excellence in Teaching. Morrison previously served as associate vice provost for graduate programs and as an associate dean in the graduate school. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1988; her M.S. from the University of Georgia in 1983; and her B.A. from Colgate University in 1980.
