IRBLs are faculty members appointed from schools/departments that are frequent users of the UPIRB. They are the vanguard of a new process for review of Exempt, Not Human Subjects Research (NHSR), and Coded data/specimen projects. Projects under these categories will be reviewed and approved by the IRBL. Hundreds of projects at the UPC will benefit from this practical and innovative review process. IRBLs are also available to investigators as a resource for the IRB process.
Please submit projects that are NHSR, Coded Data/Specimens, or Exempt via iStar using the "NHSR Application" or "Exempt Application". If you are unsure whether your project is NHSR or Exempt, please contact an IRBL for guidance.
