Before April 18, 2011
Follow these steps before April 18, 2011, to be considered for need-based financial aid. Early completion is encouraged – the sooner you apply, the sooner you will be notified of your financial aid eligibility.- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Complete the FAFSA Application online.- Use your best estimate of 2010 student income.
- USC’s Federal School Code is 001328.
- Apply as early as January 1, 2011, but before April 18, 2011 deadline.
- Supplemental Form
Access the Supplemental Form online at www.usc.edu/finanicalaid by clicking on "My Financial Aid and Documents". Follow the instructions provided to complete and submit the form.
- If you wish to be considered for Keck Need-Based Aid Loans for Disadvantaged Students and/or Primary Care Loans
- Federal Income Tax Returns
Submit signed copies of student (and spouse, if applicable) and parent 2010 federal income tax returns, including all schedules and W-2 forms. - Students and parents not legally required a file a 2010 federal income tax return must submit a 2011-2012 Student and/or Parent Non-Filing Statement Form.
- If you wish to be considered for only the Federal Direct Stafford and/or the Federal Direct Graduate PLUS loan, tax returns are not required

Respond to any requests for additional information within 15 days.
What Happens Next?
If you are admitted and meet all eligibility requirements we will send you notification of your financial aid eligibility. The information will also be available to you online at My Financial Aid & Documents. You must complete the next steps to apply for loans to ensure that your funds are processed and available by the tuition and fee settlement deadline.
Important Note: Documents submitted to the USC Financial Aid Office become the property of the University and cannot be returned to the student or duplicated for any purpose.
