Graduate programs at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering are consistently top ranked by U.S. News & World Report. The school offers visionary leadership, unique programs and a dynamic faculty, many of whom are members of the National Academy of Engineering and recipients of National Science Foundation Career awards.
Extensive high-level research in critical technologies is supported by more than $170 million annually in external funding. Of the more than 50 degree options for graduate students, some are either unique to USC or based on our particular research strengths.
Two of our 45 major research centers, the Integrated Media Systems Center and the Center for Biomimetic MicroElectronics Systems, are certified as National Science Foundation engineering research centers—an honor attained by only four engineering schools in the U.S. The school is also the home of the Information Sciences Institute, recognized internationally as a vital American resource.
