How do I find out if I match with USC?

You will be notified first by QuestBridge, then by USC Admission. Decisions are sent December 1.

Will I be considered for merit scholarships in the regular decision process?

Yes. Although we receive QuestBridge regular-decision applications a short time after our December 1 scholarship deadline, we consider these on-time for the purpose of merit scholarship consideration.

I am a finalist applying to the Match process. What happens if I am not admitted to my first-choice major?

Matched students will be admitted to their first-choice major. If you are applying to Architecture, Fine Arts, Cinematic Arts, or Theatre (except BFA-Acting), be sure to submit the supplemental materials required for those majors by November 1.

Is an interview required?

No. We cannot consider interviews for the College Match. Interviews are optional for regular admission.

I am a finalist but if I am not matched, can I be considered for regular admission?

Yes, upon your request. Ask QuestBridge to submit the application for regular admission, and be sure to submit the additional required materials. Please refer to the QuestBridge site for details.

If I want to apply to the BFA-Acting program, the Thornton School of Music, or the School of Cinematic Arts, can I be considered for the Match process?

No, these programs cannot accommodate the College Match process. Students wishing to apply to these programs should submit the Common Application along with the USC Supplement, paying close attention to the additional materials (e.g. resume and headshot, writing samples) required by these schools. For more details, please visit USC Supplemental Application Instructions.
