I am a third-generation Angeleno and have worked at USC for 15 years in a variety of capacities. I enjoy spending my free time reading as many books as possible, attending USC football games, and taking advantage of all that Los Angeles has to offer, especially live music. I love having the opportunity to show off my amazing hometown to all types of guests to the university.

Why USC?
I truly believe that USC has something to offer every single student by providing a unique mixture of opportunities that cannot be found everywhere. Whether students are seeking professional connections, research opportunities, top professors, a diverse campus community, fantastic weather, or all of the above, USC offers it and then some.

Admission Advice:
Try not to get too hung up on rankings and be sure to focus more on which schools will be a good fit for you and which ones will provide you with the kinds of opportunities you are seeking. The “best” college is the one where you will be happiest, not always the one with the highest ranking.

I am a native Californian who grew up in the great city of Los Angeles. Wanting to stay close to home I attended Loyola Marymount University (LMU) where I was an active member of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity. After graduating I began working in corporate America. After a couple of years, I discovered I preferred working in a university setting which brought me to USC Admissions.

Why USC?
I am impressed by USC’s history, academic accolades and the sense of pride and community that everyone on campus shares. After visiting, I felt I was in the company of some inspiring individuals. USC is so complex and diverse; there is truly something here for everyone.

Admission Advice:
Apply early to allow yourself time to complete all requirements. We want to know what sets you apart from the next applicant. After applying it is important to check the status of your application to ensure all required documents have been submitted.

I am a native of Los Angeles, and even though my professional experience has been varied (as an educator, paralegal, librarian, Girl Scout leader, property manager, and artist/photographer), I am thrilled to now be immersed in the Admission Center’s dynamic environment. I have navigated the college admission process with my two daughters and have also returned to academia pursuing a master’s degree in Liberal Studies.

Why USC?
Resources and opportunities for personal and academic growth at USC are remarkable. The positive energy and welcoming atmosphere on campus is palpable, and reflects the dynamism of the surrounding city of Los Angeles. Our campus is truly activated day and night with art, music, cinematic programs, student club events, intramural sports, and opportunities for students to socialize (and enjoy their campus and community). Intertwining academic excellence, research opportunities, diversity, cultural and global experiences, and spirited traditions provides USC students with an extraordinary foundation.

Admission Advice:
When visiting our beautiful campus, please take the opportunity to speak with our tour guides and interns who are current students eager to share their undergraduate experiences with you. Your territory manager is also an excellent resource throughout the application process and is the most familiar with your particular academic institution or region of the USA or world. Please bring us your questions! We want to help you discover if USC is the best fit for you.
