Lucy Lippard is one of the most prominent art writers of the past fifty years. Her book Six Years: The Dematerialization of the Art Object (1973) remains one of the key texts of the Conceptual Art movement, while From the Center: Feminist Essays on Women’s Art (1976) began the decades-long contribution that led to her receiving the Distinguished Feminist Award by the College Art Association in 2012. She is the author of twenty-one books.
