The USC Pacific Asia Museum hosts a collection of over 15,000 objects, spanning more than five thousand years, that include rare examples of art and ethnographic objects from Asia and the Pacific Islands.

The concert includes three Thornton School ensembles to be preceded by a pre-concert recital of four high school quartets, capping off a semester-long "Beethoven Celebration" project launched by the Thornton Strings department.
A pre-concert performance featuring musicians from select area high schools: 6:30 p.m.
The Beethoven Celebration project consists of immersive study, masterclasses, and other sessions in addition to an outreach program involving a dozen Los Angeles area high schools in an initiative developing string quartets from each school. These student groups will participate in a series of public and private coaching sessions led by Thornton School professors Che-Yen Chen, Karen Dreyfus, Cindy Wu, and other members of the school’s Strings faculty.
