Kevin Fitz-Gerald and Peter Marsh are joined by Daniel Rothmuller, cello, Dennis Trembly, double bass, and guest violist Hang Su

Longtime collaborators and highly polished chamber musicians Peter Marsh and Kevin Fitz-Gerald perform some of their favorite works, including sonatas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Edvard Grieg. Also featured is the rarely heard 1874 Quintet by Hermann Goetz. Goetz, a mildly popular composer in his day, struggled under the shadow of Johannes Brahms and his more luminous contemporaries, yet managed to produce several fascinating chamber works, including this quintet uniquely scored for piano, violin, viola, cello and double bass. Joining the dynamic duo for this performance is cellist Daniel Rothmuller, double bassist Dennis Trembly, and violist Hang Su.

Kevin Fitz-Gerald and Peter Marsh are two highly respected performers and teachers from the Thornton School of Music. Mr. Marsh refined his chamber technique as first violinist of the Lennox, Philadelphia, Berkshire, Sequoia, Southwest and Pacific Quartets. Kevin Fitz-Gerald is no less than his musical equal, and has concertized throughout the U.S., Canada, Japan, Australia, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
