The 120th Annual Commencement Ceremony is followed by satellite ceremonies for the individual schools and departments.
Approximately 30,000 parents, family, and friends attend the commencement ceremony each year, so attendees are urged to arrive on campus by 7:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
There are no tickets required for the main ceremony in Alumni Park (some indoor satellite ceremonies do require tickets so students will need to check with the individual departments to determine if tickets are needed).
Parking is free for Commencement, but fills up quickly. The University Parking Center, located on the corner of Jefferson Boulevard and Grand Avenue, is recommended for all degree candidates, their families, and guests. Trams will be available to take guests from the Parking Center to the main ceremony.
Candidates for degrees are to assemble promptly at 8:00 a.m. and all guests are requested to be in their seats by 8:15 a.m. The procession will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and the ceremony will conclude at 10:10 a.m.
Full Commencement details, including information about the Baccalaureate Ceremony & Dinner can be found at the Commencement Website.
