Celebrities walk with Angelenos to fight Alzheimer's disease
David Hyde Pierce, Shelley Fabares, Leeza Gibbons, Lea Thompson, Hector Elizondo, Bryan Cranston, Ken Howard, Rafer Johnson, Steve Edwards, and George Takai will lead thousands of walkers at the Alzheimer's Associations 10th annual fundraiser that begins on Trousdale Parkway on the USC campus.
This 10th annual Memory Walk benefits the Alzheimer's Associations of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties and serves to honor those individuals battling this devastating disease.
The Walk is held in partnership with the "Los Angeles Times" Festival of Health & Fitness for the first time.
The Alzheimer's Association provides support and assistance to people with Alzheimer's disease and their families; all monies raised in this area stay in the community. The Association is dedicated to researching the prevention, cure, and treatment of Alzheimer's disease. For the past nine years, more than 27,000 walkers have raised more than $2 million for programs and services that benefits the individuals, families, and caregivers who are affected by this disease.
This event will start on Trousdale Parkway at Exposition Blvd. The walk/run is 5K and will run through campus and the surrounding neighborhood.

8:30 am - 8:45 am - Celebrity opening ceremonies
8:45 am - 9:00 am - Official warm-up
9:00 am - 10:15 am - Official start of 5K Walk
10:15 am - 12:00 pm - Health Expo, live entertainment, celebrity autograph session, prizes & much more!
