Mr. Safire is the third speaker in the four-part series on "Ethics and the Professions: Financial Success and Professional Reponsibility"

Winner of a 1978 Pulitzer Prize for distinguished commentary, Mr. Safire served as a White House advisor and speechwriter during the Nixon years. He joined the New York Times staff in 1973 and continues to write for the publication today.
