Artist Rubén Ortiz Torres discusses and demonstrates his new work, "The Garden of Earthly Delights."

In this new work, Ortiz Torres continues to look at the intersection of two extremes, using glittering car paint, chrome and gold to customize an ordinary, everyday riding lawn mower. The piece, part video, part sculpture, part performance/ballet, transforms itself into a low rider dancer. The machine dances to an original composition made with sounds produced by gardening power tools, such as the noisy and banned leaf blowers.

Don’t miss your only chance to see this piece live and "in action"!
