This presentation will discuss the intersection of theory and practice in the works produced by The Labyrinth Project, a research initiative and art collective on interactive narrative that Marsha Kinder has been directing at USC’s Annenberg Center for Communications since 1997. The presentation will focus on two memoirs: “The Dawn at My Back: An Interactive Memoir of a Black Texas Upbringing,” made in collaboration with Carroll Parrott Blue, and “Mysteries and Desire: Searching the Worlds of John Rechy,” made in collaboration with gay Chicano novelist John Rechy.
