The Seventh Annual IMSC Student Conference will feature research in multimedia being conducted by students, faculty and industry professionals.
With the theme “The Next Step,” the day-long conference will explore future trends in multimedia technology and communication as well as the social and business impact of developments in the telecommunications industry.
The keynote speaker will be Joe Lawrence, a senior director of Qualcomm, who will discuss some of the company’s latest research and future market trends in the telecommunications industry. Special guests will include David Bowman of Lincolnshire International, who will speak on career planning and how to organize a start-up company, and Jr. Johnson, a USC alum and chief executive officer of VirtualTourist.com, who will discuss his experience in starting his own company.
A lunch panel will feature industry professionals and faculty from the School of Engineering, Marshall School of Business, and Annenberg School for Communication.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be available. Registration is required, and the registration deadline is March 1.
