The Annenberg Center Institute for Multimedia Literacy (IML) hosts an evening of celebration and exploration at its new headquarters, designed by modernist architect Richard Neutra.
The Institute's mission is to explore literacy in a contemporary context and, through its research, bridge the traditions of the written and spoken word with the evolving landscape of modern communication.
IML's work is based on the premise that words alone are not enough: to be fully literate in the 21st century one must have fluency with a vernacular that incorporates sound, image, and interactivity, as well as text.
