The Memory Walk benefits the Alzheimer's Associations of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties and honors those individuals battling this devastating disease.
The Walk's honorary chairs, USC president Steven B. Sample and John E. Bryson (Chairman, president and CEO of Edison International), and numerous celebrities will lead thousands of walkers in this annual fundraiser.
Some of the celebrites expected to be in attendance include David Hyde Pierce ("Frasier"), Shelly Fabares ("Coach"), Bryan Cranston ("Malcolm in the Middle") and Victor Garber ("Alias," "Titanic").
This 5K event, held in partnership with the "Los Angeles Times" Festival of Health & Fitness, starts on Trousdale Parkway at Exposition Boulevard and winds through USC's University Park campus and surrounding neighborhoods.
The Alzheimer's Association provides support and assistance to people with Alzheimer's disease and their families; all monies raised in this area stay in the community.
The Association is dedicated to researching the prevention, cure, and treatment of Alzheimer's disease. For the past nine years, more than 27,000 walkers have raised more than $2 million for programs and services that benefits the individuals, families, and caregivers who are affected by this disease.
