This academic year's third "Art in the Village" exhibition features artwork created by students in grades K-5 who attend the USC Family of Schools.
USC Fisher Gallery is pleased once again to offer the "Art in the Village" community outreach program. Funded in part by a USC Neighborhood Outreach Grant, "Art in the Village" represents a partnership between the USC Fisher Gallery, the University Village Shopping Center and the USC Family of Schools.
For the "Art in the Village" program, USC Fisher Gallery plans, curates and professionally installs temporary student art exhibitions, each with a new theme, at the University Village Shopping Center food court.
All students in grades K-5 at the eligible schools are welcome to create and submit artwork fitting that theme to be considered for the exhibition.
Each exhibition is kicked off with an opening reception, where the student have the opportunity to speak with family, friends and community members about their artwork. They are also congratulated for their achievements during an awards ceremony.
Receptions are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first day of each exhibition.
