Janice Bryant Howroyd, founder and CEO of Act-1 Staffing and Personnel, is the honorary chair of this annual event that recognizes the outstanding achievements and support of African American alumni and other organization partners.
The benefit also raises money for scholarships. To date, the organization has awarded more than $900,000 in scholarships to more than 1300 continuing and transfer students attending the University.
Howroyd’s Act-1 is the largest minority, woman-owned staffing company in the country.
