With an installation title derived from the basic physics work-energy theorem, students from the USC School of Architecture's second year design studio exhibit models, drawings and photos from various projects.
The work exhibited includes theoretical designs for a Los Angeles Downtown Arts District Branch Library and designs for a boathouse for the East River community of Greenpoint (Groen Hoek) in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The boathouse project was created in response to a design competition devised by the American Institute of Architecture Emerging New York Architects in cooperation with the East River Kayak Club and the East River Apprentice Shop in an effort to rejuvenate interest in the evolution of one of New York’s defining waterways.
Architecture student Yue-Hin “Crystal” Ng was recently notified that her submission to the competition is one of 84 jury selections to be exhibited in New York City.
