Moisés Kaufman, founder and artistic director of the Tectonic Theater Project, reflects on his life, his work and on society in general.

Kaufman wrote and directed "The Laramie Project," a play that analyzes the town of Laramie, Wyo., in the year subsequent to the brutal murder of 21-year-old University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard.

In addition to the award-winning “The Laramie Project,” Kaufman also produced “Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde” and his current “I Am My Own Wife.”

Kaufman has been a recipient of numerous awards, including four Emmy nominations, a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Lucille Lortel Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award and the GLAAD Media Award for New York Theater.
