Eric Trules, an assistant professor in both USC's School of Theater and School of Cinema-TV, discusses issues central to his life to help the public better understand the lives and inspirations of those individuals who shape the University.

This meaningful talk/discussion series featuring a different member of the faculty or administration each month. It aims to help students and others better understand the lives and inspirations of those who shape the University.

Presenters are encouraged to talk about choices made, difficulties encountered, and commitments solidified. They are free to choose any topic that fits their definition of "What Matters to Me and Why."

Trules is a writer, dancer, choreographer, theatrical director, actor, poet and filmmaker. A Regional Media Arts Fellow for his feature-length documentary film, “The Poet and the Con,” his works have been featured on KCRW, KPFK and Cinemax, in Southern California movie theatres, and on stage in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. He is a National Poetry Film and Festival award winner and recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship.

A light lunch is provided.
