George Ellis, winner of the 2004 Templeton Prize and a professor of applied mathematics at the University of Cape Town, presents a discussion on creativity and its place in religion, art and science.

Ellis’ research work concentrates on relativity theory and cosmology. He has written several books including “The Large scale Structure of Space Time,” which he co-authored with Steven Hawking.

He has also published several papers on the relationship between science and religion and is active on several Quaker committees and boards.

A reception immediately follows the lecture.
