Lessons for Civil Rights

Michael Klarman, a professor of law and history at the University of Virginia, gives a historical account of civil rights in the 20th century with special emphasis on the fiftieth anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision in Brown v. Board of Education.

Klarman is the author of the recently-published book, "From Jim Crow to Civil Rights: The Supreme Court and the Struggle for Racial Equality," available through the USC Pertusati Bookstore.

Klarman also plans to participate in an all-university workshop for graduate students at 1:30 p.m. Specific details for the workshop are listed on the event details page referred below.
