Economics professors Robert Dekle and Peter Rosendorff debate the role of the global economy and jobs in this year's Presidential campaign.

Dekle's areas of research specialization are international finance and open economy macroeconomics, especially of the emerging markets of East Asia, and the Japanese economy. In addition to academia, Dekle has extensive experience in government and in international organizations. At USC, Dekle teaches courses in undergraduate macroeconomics and graduate international finance. He is also the chair of the economics department.

Rosendorff teaches courses in international political economy including international trade theory and policy, the economics of trade and monetary policy and the politics of the world economy. Rosendorff's research examines the linkages between domestic politics and institutions and international economic policy. His published work in the political economy of trade policy brings the methods of inquiry of modern economics to questions more traditionally posed by many international relations scholars.
