A leading figure in the Regulation School of political economy, Robert Boyer has pioneered in the study of globalization and its effects on national economies.

In France, he created the Center of Prospective Studies in Economy and Mathematics Applied to Planification, and he is a Senior Researcher at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), as well as the president of the Research association on Regulation, Director of Studies at EHESS
