Is reforming the social security system really necessary? Come hear the advantages of privatization when Edward Prescott, the 2004 Nobel Prize winner in economics, presents "Rebuilding the Social Security Retirement System."

Besides meeting individual retirement needs, what impact will the reform of social security system have on the national budget deficit, payroll taxes, labor supply and the U.S. economy? The Center for Investment Studies at USC Marshall School of Business presents a comprehensive policy discussion with the 2004 Nobel Prize winner in economics, Edward Prescott, who supports privatization.

Prescott, who has transformed macroeconomic thinking, holds the W.P. Carey Chair in Economics at W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. He and Finn E. Kydland were awarded the Nobel Prize for their research in quantitative aggregate theory.
