Irene Tinker's talk, entitled "Developing Power" is based on the book she co-edited with Arvonne Fraser, "Developing Power: How Women Transformed International Development."

Tinker, is Professor Emerita of Women's Studies and of City and Regional Planning at the University of California-Berkeley. A founder of the International Center for Research on Women, the Wellesley Center for Research on Women, and the Equity Policy Center, she has used research to influence policy throughout her long career as scholar and activist.
