Architect Randall Stout, FAIA will discuss his design philosophy and process, including conceptual inspiration, sustainability and the impact of three dimensional modeling on design, documentation and construction.

Randall Stout, the AC Martin Visiting Professor in Architectural Design, is a practicing architect and principal of the Los Angeles based firm Randall Stout Architects. His office is currently designing the Art Museum of Western Virginia in Roanoke and competing internationally to design the Edmonton Art Gallery in Alberta, Canada. Prior to opening his own office in 1996 he spent seven years as a senior associate with Frank O. Gehry & Associates working on projects in Frankfurt and Hanover, Germany.

Stout's lecture will provide an overview of his built work, including the recently completed, award winning Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
