Jean Crampon, USC Science and Engineering Team librarian, presents her work with the Velero IV station data digitization project.

Crampon oversaw students who entered the handwritten data from the station logs into a database and edited the results. Researchers around the world can now know the date, time, latitude and longitude of the Velero IV ship when it gathered a particular marine specimen.

The project to make the Velero IV station information available for researchers resulted in a print publication this past spring.
