Evaluations usually take 10-15 business days, but during busy times of the year we may need more time.
If your petition is put on "hold for more information," you will be notified of what additional documents are necessary. You are responsible for collecting the requested information. If necessary, please contact your former instructor or the institution where you took the course.
Petitions that are "put on hold" will be held for only one semester. Please notify our office if you need more time to gather supporting documents. After a semester with no response from the student, the petition and all supporting documentation submitted on paper will be discarded. Students who wish to petition again should file a new petition and provide all supporting documentation again.
You will be notified by USC email as soon as a decision has been made on your online petition; a response to your paper petition will be mailed to the address you provided on the form. If your petition is granted, a new Transfer Credit Report and STARS report (viewable on OASIS) will be created.
Hard copies of supporting documents will not be sent through the mail and must be picked up in REG 208. These documents will be held for three months; they will be discarded after this time.
