USC Department of Verifications

USC's Electronic Verification

(This service available only to students whose first term of enrollment is 1980 or later).

Use this service for official verifications only. The University of Southern California has authorized Parchment, Inc. to act as its agent for the processing of orders for electronic verifications formatted in PDF. Parchment, Inc. collects all required fees and forwards the request to the USC Registrar's office, where the verification is produced and released. Parchment, Inc. uses the highest standards for security and the service is FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) compliant. This service is available from approximately 12 a.m. to 11 p.m. Pacific Time.

Placing a Verification Order:

If you have an OASIS account, you can link directly to the USC Verification Ordering Site at Parchment, Inc. from your OASIS account. (First time OASIS visitors will be asked to provide minimal contact information.) In OASIS, under the Record Order Services header, click on the service "Send an Electronic Verification" and follow the instructions at the USC Verification Ordering Site at Parchment, Inc. You must clear any holds on your record before the Verification Department will process your order. Because the release of your electronic verification cannot be delayed, please be sure to check your records in your OASIS account to ensure that pending grades, degrees, changes, etc. have been completed prior to placing your order.

If you do not have an OASIS account, you will first have to visit the USC Verification Ordering Site at Parchment, Inc. To place an order, simply click on the service “Send An Electronic Verification” and follow the instructions. If you are a first time visitor, you will be directed to create a personal profile and user ID and password, which you may use to place future orders. The site will direct you through the steps for placing your order. You can order as many verifications as you like in a single session. The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requires that the owners of academic records give their consent before their information may be released. Therefore, you will be asked to electronically sign your name in the consent sections of the Parchment, Inc. sight. Alternatively, you may print, sign and fax an Authorization to Release Educational Records form to the following number: (303) 962-6408. The Authorization form is presented to you after placing your order and authorizes the release of your record. You must clear any holds on your records before the Verification Department will process your order.

The fee for each verification is $5. Discover, Master Card and VISA are accepted. Credit cards are charged when the verification orders are fulfilled by USC.

Verification requests are fulfilled within 1 business day upon successful submission of your request. As soon as USC fulfills your order, the verification is released to the recipient within minutes. The recipient is notified by e-mail to download the electronic verification from a secure web site.
