USC Retirement Savings Program

Paid time off
Vacation leave During their first four years of service, employees accrue 12 vacation days a year with a maximum of 24 days. In the fifth through ninth year, they accrue 18 days a year, to a maximum of 36. And with ten or more years of service, employees accrue 24 days a year, to a maximum of 48
Sick leave Staff accrue up to 12 paid sick days, at the rate of one day per month, up to half of which can be used to care for sick (immediate) family members
Holidays USC recognizes 9 holidays per year
Winter recess Most departments at the university close between the Christmas and New Year's holidays
  • USC provides leave for bereavement, jury duty and voting
  • 10-week pregnancy disability leave available (additional parental leave available for up to 12 weeks, half of which can be paid through Paid Family Leave)
