USC Globalization is a central university unit working in the Office of the Provost charged with collaborating with all units across campus to enhance and enable their efforts to create relations and opportunities with foreign partners. The office also oversees a number of university-wide programs and international offices created to bolster USC's global outreach programs and further realize the university's strategic plan of becoming a truly global university. The office also plays host to international university representatives and foreign government and corporate dignitaries visiting the USC campuses.
Adam C. Powell III,
vice provost for Globalization, sets the agenda and vision for the
office in order to expand the university's international presence
and increase USC's leadership role in International higher education,
through organizations such as the Association of Pacific Rim Universities
(APRU). Powell also oversees the
Provost's Distinguished Visitors Program and works
to promote USC throughout the world with new global initiatives to enhance
opportunities for students, faculty and community service.
Isadora Gullov-Singh, program director
for Globalization, supervises the USC International Offices.
She collaborates with units across campus in order to best leverage opportunities
and increase USC visibility and recognition as a leading research university.
In addition, Gullov-Singh is works closely with foreign visitors
in order to maximize their visits to USC.
Jinah Sihn, operations manager for
Globalization, manages the office's day-to-day operations, ranging from logistics
for foreign visitors coming to campus, to accounting and billing for services
render by the international offices, to managing the office website. In addition,
Sihn also assists Powell and Gullov-Singh with their projects.
