The
section for Computational Mathematics and Statistics (CMS) consists of
those faculty members in the Department of Mathematics at USC with research
interests in various applied fields, including: mathematical molecular
biology, computational biology, epidemiology, statistical genetics, mathematical
neuroscience, modeling, estimation and control of parameter systems, numerical
analysis, scientific computation, statistics, stochastic processes, nonlinear
filtering, stochastic PDEs/stochastic numerics, computer vision, target
tracking, fluid dynamics, physical oceanography, industrial mathematics,
and mathematical finance and economics.
