SIAM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SECTION MEETING
5th Southern California Applied Mathematics Symposium (SoCAMS)

Sunday, April 24, 2005 at University of Southern California

The purpose of this Symposium is to bring together applied mathematicians in southern California and to promote interactions among them. The Symposium is intended to be informal and relaxing, and to provide plenty of time for discussions and social gathering. We especially encourage undergraduate students, graduate students, postdocs, and junior faculty to participate and to establish possible future collaborations. Poster sessions during the breaks, are vehicles for the above to present their work.

This symposia is sponsored by the Society for Applied and Industrial Mathematics, USC Mathematics Department and Center for Applied Mathematical Sciences.

Directions and lodging information

Participants in the SoCAMS 2005 meeting should enter the USC campus through Gate 5, located at the intersection of Jefferson Blvd and McClintock Avenue. Please stop at the gatehouse and tell the attendant you are there to attend SoCAMS 2005. The parking fee is $6, which will be collected from each guest by the gate attendant. You will be directed to park in parking structure PSA, which is located on the right-hand side of McClintock Avenue ( at the southwest corner of the four way stop intersection of McClintock and Downey Way). You may park anywhere in the structure that is not marked "Reserved." SoCAMS will be held in Grace Ford Salvatori Hall (GFS) Room 106. Grace Ford Salvatori Hall is just a very short walk from PSA. From PSA, proceed southeast on Downey Way (toward the central part of campus) and GFS will be the second building on the left hand side, the one with a small parking lot (Restricted Lot K2) directly in front of it. Proceed through the main doors and make a left, and Room 106 is the large lecture room at the end of the hallway.
