Hebrew I is the first of a three-part language sequence in which students are introduced to linguistic and cultural elements. After the three semesters of Hebrew language acquisition, we offer one semester of text study (Biblical prose). Studying Hebrew provides students with a chance to study an ancient language in a modern context, and an opportunity to learn how this language has served as a bond for a group of people for thousands of years. Students are also encouraged to spend time studying abroad in either Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.
