With the second largest economy in the world, and a rich and varied cultural history, Japan's influence within the Pacific Rim and upon the world is immeasurable. Japanese language instruction provides the essential foundation to understanding Japan and the Japanese people. It is a vital tool in any relationship with Japanese corporations, government offices, universities, or various ventures within the Pacific Rim. A mixture of language, culture and literature courses, as well as overseas programs in either Tokyo or Nagoya, allow students to see for themselves how the Japanese remain bonded with centuries-old traditions in the midst of rapid advances in technology.
