Korea is emerging as a major influence within the world arena. Korean language courses at USC provide the key to opening the doors to a rich culture and complex community. USC's location is advantageous for Korean language study, being just minutes away from Koreatown, the largest Korean community outside of Korea. In addition to language courses, a series of literature and cultural courses will help students gain a better understanding of this rising force in both the Pacific Rim and Southern California. By spending a semester or a year at the University of Yonsei in Seoul, students will be able to experience first-hand how the Korean people are adjusting to the rapid economic changes while holding on to their traditional values, both in Korea as well as throughout the world.
